About City Club Membership
Membership is open to all who support our
mission. It
involves modest annual dues to pay speaker expenses and
support operations. There are no additional obligations
of membership, no fund raising, no work parties. Benefits
of membership: Members receive monthly notices of upcoming programs and pay a lower lunch fee, while non-members pay an additional program fee. Members have priority in asking questions during the question period at all programs. Members are invited to attend and vote at the City Club annual meeting.
Member dues: Annual dues
are $35 per year for individual memberships and $55 for
a two-person household (same address). Our primary activity
is to provide a regular non-partisan forum for local
citizens to explore topics of interest and importance
to us all. We intend programs to enlighten and to advance
thoughtful deliberation (and occasionally, to entertain
us). Program focus can be local, regional, or broader.

We intentionally do not duplicate
or participate in fund-raising and volunteer programs
that are so effectively
delivered by other community organizations.

If you would like to show your support for our mission
by becoming a member but find our dues difficult in your
current circumstances, we accept a contribution in lieu
of dues. We ask only that such contribution cover our
unavoidable direct costs of about $12 per member per
year. There is no application for this policy, simply
write the words “Alternative Contribution” in
the memo portion of your check and use the normal “Join
Us” form.
